Working with TGP International – Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)

Our client’s journeys with TGP often begin with a simple conversation—whether it's exploring concept development for a groundbreaking restaurant or F&B Masterplanning an entire city. And in many cases, this first interaction happens with our Business Development team.

So, to shed light on some of the most common questions and considerations that arise during these early discussions, we turn to Mohamed Omar and Konstantinos Manginis who outline what our clients are the most interested in knowing about us.

Can you share examples of similar projects you’ve worked on?

CP
Omar: “We’re always eager to showcase the incredible projects we've worked on and the clients we've collaborated with over the years. Many of these are highlighted in our company profile, which provides an overview of the calibre and diversity of our clients, as well as the extensive range of work we've done across F&B advisory, design, management, marketing, and more.

Additionally, we have a collection of great case studies of major projects we've completed, such as Expo 2020 and COP28, which offer in-depth insights into our achievements. In many instances, prospects reach out to us after learning about specific projects we've designed and delivered, such as the award-winning Al Mamlaka Social Dining in Riyadh. In these cases, we can pull together project examples and insights that are the most relevant to the inquiry.”

How do TGP's 360° services work?

Steven Joyce-JOS2024077D00144
Konstantinos: “This is the most common question we receive! At TGP International, it’s not just about offering as many services as possible but about leveraging the expertise across all our departments to contribute to a unified, collective vision—whether it’s restaurant interior design or F&B curation for a major international event.

Internally, this involves a variety of workshops, collaborative discussions, and cross-departmental coordination. It’s an exciting process to be a part of.

The result is a project that we fully support, validated by all our teams. This approach ensures our projects succeed beyond any single service area. For example, when developing a food hall concept, we don’t just focus on delivering exceptional aesthetics (though they often win awards); we also design a venue we would be comfortable running ourselves, one that drives visitation, repeat visits, and loyalty.”

Does TGP have an in-house creative team?

Steven Joyce-JOS2024077D00135
Omar: “We have an exceptional in-house creative team, including graphic designers, interior designers, brand developers, and more. We’re a creative group passionate about F&B, so ideas can come from anywhere. However, we also have a strong, well-established structure based in our London office, led by seasoned individuals like Gabriel Murray, our Creative Director, and Claire Richmond, our Design Director, both of whom have been instrumental in establishing a creative culture at TGP.

In addition, we have a talented team in Egypt, as well as designers, marketers, content creators, and more across the Middle East. This diverse pool of creativity is a valuable resource we can tap into whenever needed. Our 360° model facilitates the sharing of ideas across the business, and we believe this has provided immense value to our clients.”

What is F&B Masterplanning?

F&B MP

Konstantinos: F&B Masterplanning brings together many elements, from feasibility studies to designing restaurant and food hall concepts. It’s all about strategically planning food and beverage spaces within a city or large development.

The goal is to create places where people can eat, socialise, and relax in a specific area. This has become even more important as retail, entertainment, and dining spaces blend.

We consider factors like culinary diversity, space layout, accessibility, and how F&B spaces fit into the larger urban setting. It’s about more than just choosing restaurants—it’s about using food to drive community engagement, economic growth, and cultural enrichment.”

How does the process work from initial inquiry to project delivery?

IG
Omar: The process is straightforward in many ways. We begin with a discovery call to understand your goals and challenges, and then, if needed, we consult with our specialist teams for advice on specific project details. While we offer several standard scopes of work that are competitively priced for the markets we operate in, covering various aspects of our services—from Advisory to Operational Management—we also create bespoke project scopes tailored to meet unique requirements.

At TGP, we offer 360° hospitality services, so it’s common for us to develop proposals that include multiple components.

For example, our food hall development projects can encompass everything from initial concept development, branding, and interior design to project management during the build, day-to-day operational management, and ongoing marketing once the venue is launched.

Once our proposal and timelines align with the client's needs, the project kicks off, and we keep you informed every step of the way. Our teams are highly flexible and adaptable, with a dedicated 'client lead' managing communications with you, and a 'project lead' overseeing internal deliverables and timelines.”

How long does a project take?

Steven Joyce-JOS2024077D00116
Konstantinos: Timelines vary depending on the scope of the project. Typically, a feasibility study might take around 8 weeks, while larger-scale projects, such as full restaurant concept development combined with interior design, could take over 9 months depending on the requirements.

We always provide a detailed timeline at the start of the project once we've captured all the details and requirements from our clients. From there, we often work backwards from key milestones to recommend an optimal workflow and project dates.”

What level of customisation does TGP offer?

Steven Joyce-JOS2024077D00102
Omar: At TGP International, we don’t have a “house style.” Instead, we’ve brought to life a wide range of unique and creative ideas. While there are always foundational activities, such as market research and feasibility, every project is different, and we’re happy to tailor our services to meet your specific needs. Our clients often come to us for our ability to identify gaps and opportunities in the market and create something that truly stands out.

Customising our proposals is always possible. Discovery calls are typically the first step in helping us understand how to develop a scope of work that aligns with our clients' vision. In other cases, we can draw from standardised processes and scopes that are competitively priced for the market and require minimal customisation.”

What kind of after sales or ongoing support is offered after project completion?

DSC06254-1
Konstantinos:
We’re committed to building lasting relationships with our clients, which is why we provide long-term support. Our operational management and post-launch services ensure your project continues to perform well even after the grand opening.

At TGP, we have a high retention and repeat business rate, with many of our clients returning for future projects and ongoing support. This includes both operational management and marketing.

Notable examples of this include Expo City Dubai and Al Mamlaka Social Dining, where we continue to oversee various activities to ensure these venues remain successful and profitable.”

Do you handle F&B franchise opportunities?

_MG_6649-2
Omar: Yes, we have a strong portfolio of franchise brands that we work with. Many of these are carefully selected to provide great value and elevate our clients’ portfolios, whether we're recommending them for integration into existing hotel complexes or offering investment opportunities for individuals looking to enter the F&B industry.

What makes this area of our business so exciting is the opportunity to collaborate with a diverse range of brands within our network. We engage with them, learning from each other and sharing insights on an ongoing basis.”
