The Coldplay Abu Dhabi 2025 concert was one of the largest music events of the year, attracting a diverse audience including fans and VIPs from across the region and beyond.  

Hosted at Zayed Sports City Stadium, the event was a landmark production featuring state-of-the-art stage design, immersive visual effects, and a setlist spanning the band’s greatest hits.  
 
With a total attendance of 200,000 fans across four nights, this record-breaking concert marked the highest audience turnout for a music group in the region. This milestone also played a key role in propelling the Music of the Spheres World Tour past 10.3 million tickets sold worldwide, making it the most-attended tour in history.

Coldplay’s dedication to delivering an exceptional guest experience has always been at the heart of their event strategy, creating unforgettable moments at a mega scale. 

As a key partner for both Crew and VIP catering, TGP was proud to contribute to this milestone concert in the region, curating elevated F&B offerings that complemented the scale and energy of this concert. 

Serving over 5,000 meals served, our team had the opportunity to rub shoulders with some of the biggest names and personalities in the region, contributing to a world-class dining experience. 

THE BRIEF

Familiar with delivering F&B and catering experiences at giga scale, we recognise that evolving industry expectations demand a nuanced approach, where exclusivity and intimacy are paramount—even for major international events like this.  
 
For this mega-event, we combined quality with ‘behind-the-scenes magic’ to elevate the experience, providing a tailored menu that highlighted our team’s expertise in understanding consumers preferences and trends in global events catering. 

Sustainability was a consideration throughout our F&B planning, in line with the broader goals of the tour. With internal practices already geared toward responsible sourcing and waste-conscious operations, we were able to support these efforts as part of the overall hospitality delivery.

CREW CATERING 

Over 3,500 meals were provided to the local production crew (covering lunch, dinner, and overnight shifts) and 1,700 meals to the touring crew over the course of 18 days.  

The menu was designed for variety and efficiency, following a six-day rotating schedule featuring international cuisine, live stations, and custom-made meals catering to a range of dietary restrictions. This ensured consistent quality while keeping offerings diverse and engaging for the long-term crew on-site.

Collaboration with local suppliers and venue teams ensured a seamless supply chain setup and optimised food preparation processes. Extensive planning with location offices for essential kitchen MEP (Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing) requirements and water supply also allowed for smooth on-site catering.

VIP CATERING

The VIP experience was elevated through a combination of fine dining and live food stations catering spread across three primary areas over the four concert days:

● VIP Boxes and Platforms: An exclusive setup that included five VIP boxes, two lounges, and two elevated platforms, thoughtfully designed to host dignitaries and high-profile guests with premium dining and dedicated service.

● Bars: Two dedicated bar areas serving premium drinks, mocktails, and a curated selection of small gourmet bites. 

HIGHLIGHTS 

Successfully delivering one of the region’s largest concert catering operations, TGP Catering demonstrated expertise in high-volume, high-quality food service. 

● Delivering over 5,000 meals served across the event timeline, maintaining high standards in both crew and VIP catering.

● Offering a tailored service for crew with a well-structured menu cycle, ensuring consistent quality and variety.

● Elevating the F&B experience with live cooking stations within the VIP lounge, providing fresh, made-to-order meals.

● A well-planned operational flow, designed and executed within a three-week timeframe that focused on the guest experience and supporting the wider event ecosystem. 

● Strong collaboration with event organisers, ensuring smooth service execution, quick adaptation to last-minute requests, and compliance with high-profile guest expectations.
